CE00543-7 Knowledge Management

Knowledge Management (KM) enables people to work more effectively and intelligently, adding value to the organisation. This module explores KM using an integrated systems view that understands the inter-relationships between an organisation, its surroundings and markets and the relationships within the organisation. The Module examines the fundamentals of KM for example: Definitions of knowledge and knowledge management, Models of knowledge management, knowledge management strategies and the characteristics of organisations, Intellectual Capital and the value of organisational knowledge and an examination and critical review of the role and application of technology and the technologies available to facilitate KM.
