Post Graduate Study in Engineering and Applied Technology

Taught Awards , designed for graduate students wishing the extend their current knowledge in either  Engineering or Applied Technology. These awards can be either: Engineering\Technology Awards for students whose first degree is in an engineering-related or technology-related discipline. All our taught MScs are available for study in the UK and a limited number by distance learning. In line with our philosophy of practical scholarship, all taught awards may include a twelve month industrial placement to give you practical experience of the application of your knowledge.

Research-based MRes awards, designed for graduates in a who are considering engaging with  research. It is not uncommon for this award to lead on to a PhD.

Vocational awards are based on professional scholarship aimed at those already working in the relevant industry who wish to develop themselves academically to masters’ level with Staffordshire University in association with their practical work in industry. We have designed the award to align with the appropriate professional masters standards allowing students to take the course as a way of securing promotion or use it to cover the further learning requirements to gain Chartered status. The option to progress to MPhil/PhD on graduation is available.
