BSc(Hons) Multimedia Computing (Stafford)

 

 Digital Media is increasing and there is a multitude of devices now that can deliver such media. Whilst studying Multimedia Computing, you will become specialist in creating and converting digital media. This will include 2D and 3D graphics, video, animation and audio. You will make media suitable and useable for all areas of computing including computer based delivery, games, DVD, web, special effects, and mobile devices. You will also gain skills in areas of multimedia design, computing to enable back-end systems to interact with media. You will look at many areas where multimedia is used such as education, advertising and entertainment. You will use the latest software such as the Adobe Master Collection Suite, Microsoft Expression Suite and 3D modelling software such as 3DS Max. 
This subject area can also be taken as a top-up to convert an HND to a degree.

BSc(Hons) Applied Multimedia Systems (Stoke)

 

Applied Multimedia Systems covers the design and development of multimedia systems integrating many forms of media. With the increasing power of information technology and the increasing demands of users for appealing and interactive accessible applications, the person able to produce appropriate multimedia systems will be much in demand.

On successful completion, this HND can be topped up into a BSc(Hons) in Multimedia Computing.

BSc(Hons) Web Multimedia (Stafford)

 

There is a rise in the number of Rich Internet Applications being produced, which incorporate web technologies, graphics, and video to increase the user experience. Web technologies are also being used in the development of widgets for desktop computing, and also increasingly mobile devices. Web Multimedia is an award for those wishing to become specialist in the design and development of such applications and also create high media / broadband web sites and convert media to make it suitable for web delivery. You'll learn how to convert and develop media for web delivery, web design, using the latest web standards, and proprietary software such as Adobe Flash. Options allow you to develop games skills, web building applications using languages like PHP and ASP.NET.   Web Multimedia signs you up to a rapidly developing area of computing.

Digital Applications for Creative Technology: Interactive Multimedia (Stoke)

 

Digital Applications for Creative Technology: Interactive Multimedia develops your skills in digital applications involved in the production of corporate multimedia, educational multimedia, www multimedia, entertainment multimedia and performance multimedia. The skills developed will include working in environments ranging from 2D environments to 3D virtual worlds and augmented reality. The course incorporates development of sound, video, image and content for the entertainment, communication, education and performance industries. Content development, communication design and audience participation are integral aspects of multimedia development. Skills developed will be appropriate for work within this rapidly expanding and developing industry.
