Health Visiting
Welcome to the Staffordshire University Web Pages on Health Visiting. The Coalition Government is committed to increasing the number of health visitors, by an extra 4,200 by 2015, to support children and families and to improve the health and wellbeing of local people and communities.
Staffordshire University will be engaging in this through the delivery of our successful Health Visitor Programmes.
We offer programmes that lead to Registration as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse - Health Visiting with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), a Return to Practice Programme specifically for health visiting for those who have been out of practice for some time and have let their registration lapse, programmes to prepare staff nurses to work within a health visiting team, as well as a range of Continuing Professional Development opportunities for practicing current Health Visitors.
To find out more about any of these opportunities follow the links!
