Faculty of Health Course Subjects
We offer a wide range of exciting courses including part time and distance learning as well as the more rtraditional full-time face to face courses associated with University study. All our courses are delivered from within one of our four programme areas :-
Lifelong Learning – This programme area offers a range of study options at a number of levels from foundation level to postgraduate study. These include Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities, part-time options, individual modules or full awards, on campus or some distance learning or blended learning opportunities.
Prequalifying Health Professions - This programme area has its focus on preparing health professions for their chosen career and includes Midwifery, Nursing (Adult, Child or Mental Health), We also offer prequalifying courses in Operating Department Practice, Paramedic Science, Sport Therapy and Osteopathy through other programme areas.
Social Work and Advice Studies – This programme area offers programmes at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate (post qualifying) level in Social Work, Social Care, Advice Work and Advice Studies. There is a mix of full-time, part-time and distance learning available across these subject areas.
Sport and Exercise – This programme area has a range of undergraduate and postgraduate, courses in sport and exercise subjects including fields such as Sports Studies, Sports Development and Sports Therapy as well as some health related areas such as Public Health, Clinical Biomechanics and Osteopathy
