Law School Services
A range of general services is offered and also services tailored to the needs of organisations and individuals.
Where the School is unable to assist directly the School may be able to provide assistance through its close links with North Staffordshire Law Society and Central Law Training.
Consultancy and Research
Academic staff cover a wide range of disciplines and a high proportion of staff have practical legal experiences. A range of consultancy and research work is undertaken on behalf of professional organisations, public bodies, companies and individuals.
Specialist Groups
A number of specialist interest groups meet at the University and act as a forum for the interchange of ideas and networking between legal professionals, academics and local organisations. Of particular interest to businesses will be the Employment Law Group, which attracts a significant number of human resource managers.
North Staffordshire Law Society
The School is unable to provide legal advice on specific individual problems where the advice of a solicitor would normally be required. The North Staffordshire Law Society Office is located in the Law School and is able to provide general information about the services offered by local firms and a range of other information.
Central Law Training
Central Law Training is Europe's largest provider of specialist legal training programmes. It currently presents over 3000 training events a year in a broad range of subject areas attracting some 80,000 attendees.
