The BIG Debate

The BIG Debate

Unlike some areas of the law, Sports law can often be a very dynamic, controversial subject. Indeed, many sporting issues will often end up as both front and back page stories in the media. As such, people are perhaps more informed about this area of the law than any other. At CISL, we would like to give you the chance to help us to shape the law and where appropriate, decide future sporting and governmental policy.

Each debate will be presented in an easy to understand way so that you can explore the underlying issues and academic theory. Once you click below to start the debate, you will be presented with arguments for and against an issue. Read both sides of the argument and come to your own conclusions, we will then invite you to complete a short 5-10 anonymous survey where you can tell us what you think and vote for the argument that most appeals to you.

This is your chance to help us to shape the future of sports law.

The current debate considers whether Cheerleading should be recognised as a sport. Go to the debate.
