Case Study: Cisco Networking Academy - Practical and Applied

The CISCO Networking Academy at Staffordshire University is a partnership between the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Technology, IT Services and CISCO Systems.

CISCO Systems is the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet. Their networking solutions connect people, computing devices and computer networks, allowing people to access or transfer information regardless of differences in time, place or type of computer system.

Staffordshire University is a ‘CISCO Regional Networking Academy’, delivering courses for CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification. We also deliver Network Security, Wireless Technology and IP Telephony courses. And our training excellence has been recognised by CISCO Systems with an Education Recognition Award.

In conjunction with CISCO, we’ve also designed a bespoke one-week intensive course for the Army’s 22nd Signal Regiment in Stafford in preparation for the theatre of war.

Two cohorts have successfully completed the course and another course is planned for the end of the year.

It’s a perfect illustration of how we can provide industry-standard skills training in a hands-on learning environment, delivering skills that can be put into practice immediately.
