Information Literacy isn’t just about finding information; it is a true catalyst for educational change. It enables independent lifelong learning. A conference held at Staffordshire University on Wednesday 17 May 2006 considered how we can engage the Google generation and move towards the information literate University.
We are pleased to report that the event was a great success with 127
delegates from across the UK and as far afield as Saudi Arabia. Here is
a selection from the very positive feedback we received.
"Well worth the travel, lots of food for thought. Has given me
ideas to take back to my colleagues."
"Lots of variety[...]interesting to hear what others are doing
and share problems and concerns."
"Enjoyable and thought-provoking."
"I really enjoyed the activity session. Good for questions and
reflection on our own situations. I look forward to seeing the results
and conclusions."
"Very well organised."
"Easily accessible venue."
