Information literacy is widely regarded as the key to being a successful independent learner.
Everyone working in Higher Education is to some extent engaged in the development of information literacy. In the context of the UK Government’s Leitch Review and the Department for Innovation Universities and Skills response World Class Skills, a well-articulated response to the challenges which information literacy presents is crucial.
At Staffordshire University we have chosen to take a strategic approach to integrating information literacy into the learning landscape. The links from this page will help you to learn more about information literacy, to understand how it features in the University’s learning strategy and also to see some of the support tools which underpin this way forward.
