International Attendance Certificate
You may be aware that the UK Border Agency has implemented a new monitoring system for all international students studying in the United Kingdom. As part of this process the University is required to ensure that you remain active in your studies. Therefore on seven different occasions throughout the academic session you must bring a signed attendance certificate to your Faculty Office or Information Centre. You will receive an email, in your student email account, to inform you when to submit your International Attendance Certificate.

Who signs my attendance form?
You need to request one of your module leaders or dissertation supervisor to sign your attendance form. The form should be signed during the sign in week please do not ask your tutor to sign the form in advance.
Note for dissertation students:
As a dissertation student you are still required to attend regularly to meet your project supervisor. The University can also request you to attend at any stage during this period. It is very important that you bring in a signed attendance form during the allocated week . You will be requested to repeat this exercise throughout the academic session until you have submitted your dissertation.
Submitted your dissertation:
Until you have completed your award you are a registered student at the University. If you have submitted your dissertation but awaiting your results you need to bring your dissertation submission receipt to your Faculty Office. You do not need to obtain a signed attendance form.
Failure to submit a signed attendance form, confirming satisfactory attendance, or submit your dissertation receipt will result in the University informing the Border Agency of your non attendance from the course.
MPhil/PhD students
