International student support

What is International Student Support?

International Student Support (ISS) is part of Staffordshire University's Student Office and is here to provide support and enhance the experience of our International Students.

We provide specialist advice, welcome and orientation support specific to your needs, ensure you have a smooth transition into Staffordshire Univerity and that you continue to have a good time whilst you are our student.

In addition, our team of immigration experts are on hand to provide Immigration Advice and assist you with the process of applying for Entry Clearance to the UK and extending your visa if you are inside the UK.

As well as providing complex immigration advice, we also do fun things such as having our Welcome Team provide an exciting and warm welcome to help you have the best start, including pre-arrival information, Meet & Greet, Welcome Talks, Orientation programmes, cultural and social events and trips for you to choose from.

Our service aims to improve the International Student Experience and to provide you with support, guidance and help right from the day you arrive in the UK to the day you Graduate.  Our International Student Support facilities were rated at over 93% satisfaction according to the International Student Barometer 2012 showing that we are keen to help you achieve the qualifications and skills to make a real impact in your chosen career.
