27 September 201225 October 201223 October 2012A) How much money was awarded in total to International students on scholarships in each of the past three academic years.
B) A breakdown of how this money is divided. (For example, X scholarships of XX).
C) Aggregate data of where each scholarship student's country of origin is.

Furthermore, I would be grateful if you could provide the following information relating to scholarships for UK residents:

A) How much money was awarded in total to UK students on scholarships in each of the past three academic years.
B) A breakdown of how this money was divided.
C) Where each of the scholarship students are from in the UK.

Finally, it would also help to have:
The total number of students studying at your institution, broken down by UK, EU and NON-EU students.
The total number of students eligible for a scholarship.
How much of the total scholarship money is allocated by the National Scholarship Programme.
In the past 3 years the University hasnt t awarded anything called Scholarships to UK students. We have only awarded means tested bursaries

The International students get 1000.00 Scholarship in the form of a fee waiver in the first year only.

The University is unable to provide this information as it is not broken down in this way. To get the information would require a lot of time to extract the information and then cross reference with our student database. You can try narrowing down your request, please note however, the University would still need to go through the process as stated above
20 September 201218 October 201227 September 2012I'm currently writing an article for the Guardian regarding the amount of income generated from student fines (though not library fines) in universities, and was wondering if you knew where this information could be obtained for your university, if at all, so as to avoid having to submit a formal FOI request. I would primarily be looking for information relating to fines, rather than charges - the former being used as a means of disciplinary action, and the latter pertaining to costs recovered from students to reimburse to university for say, a broken window or extra cleaning costs.Fines for 2011-12 as follows:-

Tampering with Fire Safety Equipment (Fire extinguishers, break glasses, fire blankets, covering smoke and heat detectors, deliberate fire alarm activations) = 1388.43

Non-attendance Investigatory Interviews and Disciplinary Hearings = 805.00

Failure to evacuate during organised Fire Drills = 125

Smoking in Halls = 600.00
