1) 205 staff hold PhD's

2) 108 staff held PhD's 10 years ago

3) The type and level of qualification is dependent on the academic area, with some (and typically vocational areas) permitting equivalence in terms of professional qualification and/or experience. Staff without a higher level degree are sometimes appointed on the basis of their prior experience

4) Encouragement is give to all staff to further their development according to the needs of the subject area and the business priorities of the University. In addition, qualifications other than higher degrees such as teaching qualifications may take more urgent priority for new staff as these impact directly on the student experience.

Currently all new staff without an existing teaching qualification are required to start working towards this on joining the University.

Minimum IELTS score for UG and PG is 6.0 (minimum of 5.5 in each component). Some PG awards require 7.0 or 7.5.
Applicants are accepted for the International Foundation Programme (IFP) with a score of 4.5, Pre-sessional Extensive (PSE) course with 5.0 and Pre-sessional Intensive course (PSI) with 5.5.

In particular we are interested in exploring the following 8 key themes: 1) Resilience; 2) The impact of Service on Reservists; 3) Transition from Service to Civilian Life; 4) Engagement with/access to services; 5) Impact on the Family; 6) Social Background of Recruits; 7) Mild TBI and PTSD link; 8) Addictions and links to military service. I am contacting you to ask you to identify any previous or ongoing work undertaken in this area within your institution i.e. Academic research, Masters and/or PhD research and details of any published work. I would appreciate it if you could send me the details of any such work.
