Expenditure on external consultants and advisors, excluding external editors and writers (total invoiced value excluding VAT) � the university made available �2000 to each UoA to use the services of an external adviser to assess each assessment unit before submission � total cost 8 UoAs x �2000 = �16,000


2. Expenditure on external writers and editors (total invoiced value excluding VAT) - Note: these were typically hired to support the production of REF impact case studies - Nil

3. Number of, and expenditure on, new administrative posts created specifically for the REF2014 provcess (total value of gross salaries + other employer contributions/benefits such as pension contributions) no new posts created but the University did fund an extra 18 hours clerical support per week to help with data collection and entry � total cost to the University over 10 months was �19,500.

2. From the above number, what percentage completed the course part time and what percentage completed the course full time?

3. What are the main methods of funding? What percentage of students take out career development loans to fund it, and what percentage fund it themselves?

4113 permit records exist, 493 of these are for multiple permits. We are not able to advise on how many visitor permits have been issued.

The university has received �39,721 from a combination of permit fees and a share of parking charges after costs. This has been ring fenced for a contribution towards the running of the inter-site shuttle bus but does not take into account all of the costs associated with the management of the scheme, the workload for which has been mostly absorbed.
