For clarity, academic cheating/academic misconduct includes but is not isolated to buying dissertations/essays from teh internet and cheating in exams.

Staffordshire University does not retain figures on the number of students investigated for academic misconduct, only instances of proven misconduct. We began reporting this information in academic year 2014/15. For academic 2015/16, the information is as follows:

2014/15 - 231 total cases of academic misconduct
2015/16 - 133 total cases of academic misconduct

All of the above students were recorded due to being found guilty of academic misconduct. We classify academic misconduct in three tiers: minor, major and gross. The breakdown of the above is as follows:

Students found guilty of misconduct will be subject to teh actions described in the attached academic misconduct regulations.

Yes to students.
Yes for students the training is mandatory for those moving into teh University managed accomodation.

Training is delivered in-person by the University Police Liaison Officer.
In person Seminar & Workshops - 95% completion rate but the training is being reviewed for next year to increase the completion rate to 100%.

No to staff - we are currently reviewing an online training package for staff.
The University has a Sexual Violence Support Team who have received training from teh local Sexual Assessment Referral Centre and have been working alongside Keele University and sharing best practice.

All framework and policy documents detailing your University's strategy for the implementation of the Government's Prevent program in regards to IT usage and the monitoring of student and staff's emails.

A list of all instances in which your University provided evidence or referred individuals to law enforcement agencies as part of its Prevent duties from September 2015 to date.
We can confirm that we do not have a specific IT policy relating to Prevent. Web filtering is included within our action plan and this is not a policy.
