14 February 201814 March 201820 March 2018I am writing to you to request information (under freedom of information).

Please could you provide me with the names topn five suppliers of ICT in your organisation by spend in 2016/17; and if possible, EITHER percentage of total ICT spend with this supplier OR the value of the spend with each supplier.

For example:
1. Supplier A, x% OR #x
2. Supplier B, x% OR #x
3 Supplier C, x% OR #x
4 Supplier D, x% OR #x
5 Supplier D, x% OR #x

If you have any questions regarding the reqiest, please see FAQs below, or reply to this email.

FAQ's:

Can we provide approximate or estimated percentages of spend or spend value?
Yes, percentages or spend rounded to the nearest 5% or 10%, or spend values rounded to the nearest #10k or #100k are acceptable.

What exact period do you want the information for?
Ideally, April 2016 to March 2017, but if your financial year is different to this, a similar period (e.g academic year) is acceptable.

This information is not available for the period you requested.
Please provide most recent full year available, noting the start and end of the period the data is for in your reply.

Do we need to provide total ICT spend?
You do not have to provide this as we have estimates of this information from other sources. However, if you wish to provide it, it would be very much appreciated.

Do you want more than the top five sippliers?
You do not have to provide more detail, but if you wish to provide it, it would be very much appreciated.

Why do you want this information?
I am an analyst for the UK public sector team within GlobalData PLC. We provide research on ICT in the UK public sector to both private sector clients (including most of the leading suppliers) and public sector clients (including central government departments, NHS trusts and local government).

How will you use this information?
We will use this information to estimate the overall top ICT suppliers in UK higher education - we will not share individual data about your organisation outside GlobalData.

Why can you not use public sources of information?
While published contract awards on TED and ContractsFinder provide some information, it does not provide an accurate picture of spend as many contracts are awarded through frameworks or contracts under OJEU thresholds. Also, unlikek other public sector organisations, education insitutions do not have to publish details of individual payments - as central government (over #25,000) and local government (over #500) do. There are also no similar FOI campaigns which provide this information for the same period.

Will you use this information to sell to us?
Our organisation does not sell ICT products or services. While we do sometimes have higher education customers for our research, we will not use this information to see research to you. I do not work in a sales role, and will not share it with anyone in a sales role.

I am looking to find out as much detail and information as possible on the mental health support offered by the University to its students. Specifically, my questions are as follows:

28 February 201828 March 201822 March 2018I have a few questions that I require answers to - please see below:

1) Does your University include the category "gypsy or Irish Traveller" in its ethnic monitoring systems?

2) If so, how many Gypsies/Irish Travellers have attended your University in the last three years?

3) Do you hold any other information on Gypsies or Irish Travellers collected from other monitoring systems (e.g self-evaluation)?
Dear Sirs,

Further to your request for information we can confirm that since 2015/16 academic year there have been 8 individual students with the ethnicity description "Gypsy or Traveller." We do not hold any additional information as requested in question 3 of your enquiry.
9 February 20189 March 201823 March 2018To whom it may concern,

I'm part of a project looking at University fees. Please could you supply me with the following information.

Firstly, when the fee cap for undergraduate students were raised to #9250 for the academic year 2017-2018 did your institution raise fees for continuing students on any courses?
- That is, did your institution raise fees for any students who has started their course prior to the academic year in which the fee cap was raised to #9250.

Secondly, during the academic years 2016-2017 and 2015-2016 how were undergraduate students notified that fees may rise when they started their course?
- I would like to receive a copy of the primary source of information for students at your institution over these two years on how fees for their course were set, and how they could rise. For example, a fee policy document, your terms and conditions etc.

To clarify the scope of this request, I would like view the fee arrangements and how any potential rise was outlined for undergraduate students at the start of these two years.
Dear Sirs,

Further to your request for information we can confirm that Tuition fees for most courses will increase from one year to the next. Therefore, if you are on a course of more than one year's duration you can expect to pay a higher rate of fees in subsequent years. It would be the responsibility of the applicant to find out what tuition fee will be charged for each academic year of the course.

Please note that students would be alerted to potential uplifts via the University website.
