And guests will be given a real insight into the patient journey which involves a number of real-life scenarios which enables them to explore and experience the Centre’s facilities, specialist equipment and professional care on offer.

Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Dr Nigel Thomas said: “Staffordshire University has invested heavily into transforming our existing teaching sites at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Blackheath Lane, Stafford in to innovative and interactive learning environments for students.

“The University is already a leading provider of courses for health professionals and we are confident that this investment will translate into the provision of high quality learning to support patient care in future.”

“While we're keen to show off our upgraded clinical skills labs with new learning technologies and transformed teaching areas, the focus of the launch is very much on the skills and professionalism of our students – the nurses, midwives and paramedics and operating department practitioners of the future.”
