Postgraduate Virtual Events

Introducing our new masterclass webinar series.

Course leaders and teaching staff from Staffordshire University will be looking at some topics making the news and inviting you to join in the discussion..

Can NATO withstand Trump's presidency?

A masterclass webinar

The western alliance of NATO has encountered many trials and tribulations - the Cold War era, the Post-Cold War era, and now faces its most challenging time, the Donald Trump era. How will it survive with the U.S threatening to pull out billions of dollars in funding? Will its European allies fold under the pressure? Will NATO collapse leaving countries exposed?

Staffordshire University's Associate Professor of Security and International Relations, Dr Simon Smith, presents a masterclass webinar highlighting everything Donald Trump; the acrimony and tension between his European allies, and its effect on NATO - plus, more on our postgraduate courses in International Relations.

Next event will be Friday 14 December 2018.

Time: 3.00-3.30pm.

The Boom in Digital Marketing

A masterclass webinar

It's the 21st century, and traditional marketing is dying. People are avoiding telemarketing, junk mail has a fast-track to the trash, and pre-recorded TV is making classic adverts redundant. So where do we sell our products? How can we reach new customers? The answer: digital marketing.

Staffordshire University's senior lecturer in digital and strategic marketing Paul Dobson presents a masterclass on the new age of marketing. During this webinar you'll find out why it's important to put the customer in control of the advertisements, how precise targeting can yield the best conversion percentage, and how you can drive brand loyalty through portable marketing on mobile and tablet - plus more on our postgraduate qualification and professional courses.

Date: Wednesday 19 December 2018.

Time: 11.00-11.30am.
