Scott A. Andresen
Visiting Lecturer (Centre for International Sports Law)
I will be teaching a number of self-created Modules on 'Sports Law' in the United States
I am the founder of Andresen & Associates P.C., a Chicago-based law firm that focuses its offerings in the areas of sports law, entertainment and the arts, intellectual property and a wide array of legal and non-legal services and consultation to business and corporate clients ranging from small entrepreneurs to multi-million dollar corporations. Prior to founding Andresen & Associates, I served as in-house legal counsel for the Arena Football League.
I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, my Juris Doctorate at the Valparaiso University School of Law, and my Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. During my law school career, I studied law at Cambridge University in England under U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, worked for the legal department of the Oakland Raiders, and served as Legal Assistant to the Executive Director of the Illinois High School Association.
I currently teach Legal and Ethical Issues in Sports Management in Northwestern University’s graduate sports management program; am the Chairman of the Chicago Bar Association's Sports Law Committee; volunteer with several non-profit organizations, including the Lawyers for the Creative Arts; and lecture to an array of domestic and international attorney and student organizations.
