Preconference Workshops

As in the previous years, this year's conference will be preceded by CPD workshops which will take place on Thursday 21 April 2016. This year's workshop focuses on Footwear Science. WORKSHOPS HAVE LIMITED SPACES and will be offered on first come first serve basis ( registration is free for full fee paying registrants). UK Footwear Science Meeting ( Sponsored by RSscan International and Algeos)

We are pleased to announce that the 1st UK Footwear Science Meeting will be held on Thursday 21st April, hosted by Staffordshire University. This meeting will be a satellite event held ahead of the 14th consecutive Staffordshire Conference on Clinical Biomechanics (SCCB) at the University Campus, Stoke on Trent (21-23 April 2016). The one-day footwear meeting provides a forum for dissemination of work relating to scientific aspects of footwear development, with keynote, invited speaker and open sessions.

Professor Ewald Hennig of the University of Essen, Germany will deliver a keynote lecture.  Invited speakers include: Dr Matt Carré, University of Sheffield and Dr Steph Forrester, Loughborough University

Authors are invited to submit abstracts for open sessions, for consideration for oral or poster presentations.

Registration for this footwear event is £70, or free for full fee paying registrants of the SCCB Conference (see registration link)

This event is free for Staffordshire University Biomechanics Alumni

Call for Abstracts for Footwear Meeting

 Short abstracts are to be submitted by e-mail to sccb@staffs.ac.uk by 26th February 2016 ( please indicate "Footwear Science Meeting" next to the title)

The text should be limited to two pages of A4, with the first page to include the Title of Presentation, Author(s), Corresponding Author's Name, Address, Telephone number and e-mail address. Second page should include a full abstract with introduction, methodology, results and discussion.

Acceptance of abstracts will be communicated to the corresponding author by: 7th March, 2016
