By Matt Wagg: Newcastle Town are preparing to take on League Two side Port Vale in the Staffordshire Senior Cup next week.

Castle are in unstoppable form having topped the Vodkat Premiere Division with a stunning 110 points, and conceding just 20 goals.

Winger Jordan Johnson says the whole team are feeling confident.

“It’s been a great season and hopefully we can push on and win the Cup too.  It would be a great finish to a terrific season for us.”

Promotion seeking Vale are expected to field a weakened side as they are still in the running for a play-off place.

Newcastle beat Leek Town, Rocester and Chasetown to get to the final, amassing an impressive 13 goals in the process and conceding just one.

Vale got a bye through the first round and then beat Hednesford Town and current Cup holders, Kidsgrove Athletic.
