Websites like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn are fast becoming the most popular on the web. Nearly half a billion people enjoy them worldwide, and many businesses and charities use them to advertise.
But what if you don’t understand this new idea?
Last night (26th April) at Stoke-on-Trent’s first social media surgery, at The Greyhound Inn, Penkhull, local experts met small businesses and charities to help them use the internet more effectively.
The ‘surgeons’ gave up their time to speak with budding web-users.
Organisers now plan to make it a regular event, meeting every two months. You can find out more about the surgeries at their official website.
