By Tom Niblett : Midfielder Anthony Griffith has been named Port Vale’s Player of the Season at the club’s annual awards evening.
The 23-year-old has made 38 appearances for the club, but is yet to score.
Vale finished tenth in League Two, but only missed qualifying for the end of season play-offs on the final game of the season.
Griffith said he was overwhelmed by the award. “There are so many other players that deserved the awards ahead of me,” he told The Sentinel.
Port Vale manager Micky Adams praised Griffith, saying: “He has improved all aspects of his game this season, it is a deserved award for him.”
