Gnosall model bids for Page 3 stardom

By Leah Cassady: A Staffordshire model is hoping to see her career take off after making it into the top 100 of a glamour competition.
The Sun’s Page 3 Idol 2010 aims to celebrate 40 years of their iconic topless girls.
Sophie Holland, 22, from Gnosall, entered the competition hoping for the best, but was stunned when she found out that she had done so well.
And if she scoops the £5,000 top prize, big-hearted Sophie has vowed to donate the cash to the Help for Heroes charity.
Sophie said: “I couldn’t believe it when The Sun phoned and said I was in final 100, I was amazed.
“It’s the best thing ever to have happened to me.”
The competition gives women the chance to have their photo appear in The Sun with the winner receiving £5,000, a year-long modelling contract and an exotic holiday including a photo shoot.
Sophie, who went to Stafford Grammar School and Newport High School, said: “I adore glamour girls and my idols are Kelly Brook and Lucy Pinder. To be in The Sun final 100 of page 3 idol is an honour.
“I’m so proud to represent Staffordshire and Shropshire and I really need everyone to get behind me and have a look at my picture.
“If I’m lucky enough to win I will donate the £5,000 cash to Help for Heroes charity.
“I have a lot of friends in Afghanistan and I believe those out there are true heroes and deserve the money.”
The Sun posts new girls online everyday with the finalists being chosen by a specially selected judging panel.
However, the public will have the final say as online votes decide the overall winner.
