Staffordshire students embark on London to Sydney trip in a black cab

By Kelsey Purnell: A journey across the globe in a black cab by three Staffordshire students has already proved to be a rollercoaster ride.

University pals Paul Archer, Johno Ellison and Leigh Purnell embarked on their journey two months ago and had hoped to reach Sydney within six months as part of their attempt to break the world record for the longest taxi journey.

But their schedule has been hit by huge traffic jams in France and freezing conditions in Finland. They were also arrested in Amsterdam for drinking alcohol on the streets, before returning back to the house they were staying at to discover it was the set for an adult film!

Staffordshire Pubs donate £3000 to BBC Children in Need

Lichfield firm celebrates Staffordshire Hoard through parsnips
