By Kelsey Purnell: A journey across the globe in a black cab by three Staffordshire students has already proved to be a rollercoaster ride.
University pals Paul Archer, Johno Ellison and Leigh Purnell embarked on their journey two months ago and had hoped to reach Sydney within six months as part of their attempt to break the world record for the longest taxi journey.
But their schedule has been hit by huge traffic jams in France and freezing conditions in Finland. They were also arrested in Amsterdam for drinking alcohol on the streets, before returning back to the house they were staying at to discover it was the set for an adult film!

By Tom Shingler: A Staffordshire-based vegetable grower has unveiled a unique take on buried treasure after re-branding their primary export of parsnips to help promote the county.
R&RW Bartlett, owned by father and son Roy and Rod Bartlett, have decided to rename their parsnips as ‘Staffordshire Gold Parsnips’ to commemorate the Staffordshire Hoard.
