By Kieran Jones: Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted child abduction in Hanley.
Police were called to reports of the men acting suspiciously in an alleyway on Leek Road at around 4.45pm yesterday (April 8).
Officers arrested a 44-year-old from the Stoke-on-Trent area and a 44-year-old from Wolverhampton. Both remain in custody this morning while investigations continue.

By Kieran Jones: A major road operation involving over seventy five officers from several forces, including Staffordshire, resulted in thirteen vehicles being taken off the road for alleged offences.
The police were also working with various other teams including the UK Border Agency, HM Revenue and Customs and the Department for Work and Pensions.

By Sam Beavis: Stoke-on-Trent residents and councillors have blasted reports that nine police stations could close across Staffordshire.
Stations at Uttoxeter, Lichfield, Rugeley, Wombourne, Stone, Kidsgrove, Newcastle, Burslem and Stoke were being considered for closure to save £20 million, reports suggested.
Today Kyle Robinson, Kidsgrove Town Councillor for Butt Lane, said: “Kidsgrove police station has had a considerable amount of money spent on it in recent years.
