Vintage fair comes to Hanley’s Fat Cat Cafe Bar

By Sandy Wagg: Hanley’s Fat Cat Cafe Bar was taken over by a vintage fair which took place on both of its floors.

The bar opened up its venue to a number of vintage companies.

There was a colourful mix of clothes, shoes, bags, hand-made jewellery and paintings for people to buy.

Community radio station to broadcast on FM in Stoke-on-Trent

By Sam Morter: A community radio station is taking to the airwaves in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Cre8 Radio will begin its FM broadcast on May 21 and will be run entirely by volunteers from the local area.

The community station status means revenue does not come from commercials and the station is instead funded by Government grants and public donations.

Stoke City’s FA Cup run boosts season ticket sales

By Elliot Richardson: Stoke City took advantage of their FA Cup success as fans rushed to snap up season tickets for next season.

Supporters headed to the Britannia stadium to purchase their 2011/2012 season tickets which also guarantees them a ticket for the Cup Final.

An extra 2,300 tickets were made available for the Potters’ date with Manchester City at Wembley for fans who do not have season tickets, but are buying one for next season.
