Three Staffordshire University sports journalism students will be working on the FIFA World Cup which starts on June 11th.

Postgraduate Sports Broadcast Journalism student Seb Hutchinson (left) will be working as a producer for for ITV Sport in Johannesburg.

Third year BA Sports Journalism student Danny Houlker (right) has been based in Cape Town working for FIFA preparing copy for the official tournament programme. Danny has already compiled an impressive portfolio including football coverage for the News of the World.

The trio of achievement is completed by Hanisa North (centre) - another third year BA Sports Journalism student - who will be covering the World Cup for ESPN in Singapore. Hanisa starts work in August for IMG as a TV production assistant.

Sports journalism award leader Mitch Pryce said: "This is a tremendous tribute to all three students - and the hard work they have put in to gain recognition at the highest levels of professional sports journalism. It is the latest example of Staffordshire University's excellent record of helping aspiring young professionals gain a foothold in the industry.

"I am delighted for the three of them. It's a hat-trick Geoff Hurst would have been proud of."
