The project began in September
2004 and continued until September 2008.
The funding is by the Higher Education Funding
Council for England (HEFCE) and the Department
for Employment and Learning (DEL) under
the Fund for the Development of Teaching
and Learning. Both the main and transferability
phases of the project have now been completed.
The Higher Education Academy's review
considered it "...an extremely successful
project". Both the Academy and the
project's evaluator and considered that
this has been "...an exemplary project
in addressing issues in teaching and learning
in HE in general and in economics in particular".
The main partners in the
project are Coventry University, the University
of Durham, Staffordshire University and
the University of the West of England. The
project is hosted at Staffordshire University
