METAL:
Mathematics for Economics: enhancing Teaching
and Learning
This project that aims to enhance teaching
and learning by providing lecturers and
students with a selection of resources that
will help to engage Level 1 students more
fully and enthusiastically in mathematics
for economics. The resources include videos,
teaching and learning guides and a question
bank. The project is due for completion
in December 2007.

The project goal is to bring economics experiments
to the classroom to inspire students, and
lead them into a deeper understanding of
economic theory. The project's Economic

makes available many kinds of experiments.
Beyond
dissemination strategies: Embedding computer-based
learning & effective uses of WinEcon
& VLEs
Led by University of Birmingham, this project
works with lecturers in their institutions
to customise WinEcon to their particular
modules and institutional Virtual Learning
Environment.
