Researchers in the Insitute have a broad range of experience in advising on aspects of education policy and research at national and international levels. The membership of the Institute includes researchers with diverse academic backgrounds in the social sciences and substantial experience of different sectors in education. We seek to bring a variety of perspectives and methods to bear in the analysis of educational issues. Whilst some members of the Institute have wide experience of statistical analysis of large data sets, others are more experienced in qualitative research. Members of the Institute combine in small research teams with a mixture of skills and theoretical backgrounds appropriate to each research project. Our
