Maja is a teaching and research assistant at the University of Split, Faculty of Economics in Croatia. She graduated from the University of Colorado at Denver, USA (MA in Economics) and in 2004 she started her PhD at Staffordshire University. Her research interests are the analysis of efficiency in higher education, student attainment, the problem of non-completion and the length of time taken to complete the studies. The goal of her research programme is to provide a better understanding of the relationships between inputs, processes, outputs and outcomes in higher education and to examine and assess for the first time the efficiency of the Croatian higher education system.
