Outstanding student Stephen Trueman has been awarded the Institution
of Electrical Engineers (IEE) Best Student prize.
Stephen, 24, from Congleton was presented with £150 and two years free membership
of the IEE.
He was awarded the accolade after graduating with a first class BEng(Hons) in
Electrical engineering.
During his final year he was awarded 176 points out of a possible 180 for his
work. Stephen has provisionally accepted a job with BNFL - British Nuclear Fuels
Ltd, which is based in Warrington, Cheshire.
Dr Moofik Al-Tai, principal lecturer and award programme manager said: "Stephen
was one of the best student prize winners we have ever had. It was a very clear
decision to award him the best student prize."
