The Centre for Ageing and Mental Health at Staffordshire University has been established to provide research, consultancy and education and to promote innovation in health and social care services for the older person. The Centre intends to bring together researchers, clinicians and other health and social care professionals from a variety of fields to facilitate research both nationally and internationally.

The Centre draws upon a strong network of nationally and internationally recognised researchers and clinicians as well as utilising the existing strengths of the research and consultancy expertise within the University.

A key focus of the Centres work is the development of a robust high quality postgraduate education programme in the area of ageing and mental health. The centre provides a service for students within the faculty and acts as a resource for students enrolled on the MSc Ageing and Mental Health.
