There is an increasing focus on the need to support the development of skills and learning for Community Regeneration. Many voluntary organisations and public bodies are now working alongside community groups to develop projects or to make things happen locally. The Creative Communities Unit provides an evolving range of courses, projects and services to support local workers and community members to develop the skills to work more effectively in local communities.
The Creative Communities Team is made up of a variety of staff with specialist skills in community development, community regeneration and youth work. We work across disciplinary boundaries and often work in partnership with other organisations. We offer a range of accredited courses of varying lengths with flexible learning approaches and options, some delivered in the University and some in local communities.
