During Summer and Winter of 2009-2010 a team of local residents and workers carried out a consultation project called Quality Streets. The community research team has involved people in giving their views on the neighbourhood, and in developing an action plan in response.
The research team were interested in finding out what people like and don’t like about living and working in the area surrounding Haney Park, in order to come up with an action plan, for targeted change in the area. Local people had training to join the team.
The project was funded by a group of organisations. Having them on board from the start means that the information gathered is going to the people who can do something about it.
