Slater's Topography of Ireland

Originally published in 1846 Slater's Topography of Ireland is a detailed description of the country on the eve of the famine that was to cost the lives of more than one million people. Running into approximately 40,000 words the Topography includes descriptive accounts of the history, geology, geography and government of:-

• Ireland itself.
• The four provinces.
• The thirty-two counties.
• The larger towns including Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Waterford and Limerick.

• The four provinces and thirty-two counties.
• Ireland's population and industrial structure.
• The influence of the famine on Ireland's population.

The minimum requirements for the hypertext book are Windows 3.1 or Windows 95, a 486 processor, 4 MB RAM and 5 MB disk space.
