Mr Martin Brown
B.A. Hons History (Churchill College, Cambridge); Postgraduate research scholarships (Churchill College, Cambridge and European University Institute, Florence); PGCE (Manchester Polytechnic).
Member of the Higher Education Academy. Teaches modern Italian and European history, and C18 English history, with an emphasis on social, cultural and political history. He served as Secretary of the Association for the Study of Modern Italy from 1997-2002 and was an Associate Editor of the journal Modern Italy for 2002-3, and is on the current Editorial Board. Mr. Brown also teaches local and community history.

Dr Tony Craig
Dr Tony Craig completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge in 2009 and was Irish Government Senior Scholar at Hertford College, Oxford (2009-10).
While his research primarily focuses on the contemporary security history of Britain and Ireland, this is currently being extended into studies of political intelligence during both the Northern Ireland Troubles and throughout Britain’s end of empire. |

Dr Pauline Elkes

Teaches German and European history and the evolution and history of Propaganda and Intelligence organisations in the Twentieth Century. Publications include 'The Political Warfare Executive on public opinion and resistance in Germany, 1943-45. British Planning for Occupational Rule in M cGelliott and Kirk (Eds). Working Towards the Fuhrer (2004). The Policy and Legacy of British Occupational Rule in Germany. Dr. Elkes research works also includes Jewish and Polish Community history. |

Dr Peter Lamb
Peter has taught at the University of Liverpool, Keele University, the Open University, Manchester Metropolitan University, the University of Manchester and Staffordshire University.
Peter's qualifications include BA (Hons), Staffordshire University; MSc, Keele University, MA (Econ), University of Manchester; and PhD, University of Manchester.
Peter's research interests are in political theory, history of international relations thought, and socialist thought. He is the author of Harold Laski: Problems of Democracy, the Sovereign State and International Society (2004) and with co-author James C . Docherty, Historical Dictionary of Socialism (2006). His publications also include many articles in academic journals and contributions to edited books. |

Head of Department and Route Leader M.A. International Relations.Research interests: politics of the world economy and technology in international relations.
Author of The Biotechnology Revolution: An International Perspective (Wheatsheaf, 1988).
Co-editor (with John Vogler) of The International Politics of Biotechnology (Manchester U.P, 2000)

Dr Sita Bali
BA in Politics and Economics, St. Xaviers College, University of Bombay; MA and PhD in International Relations at University of Kent at Canterbury. Lecturer in International Relations at Staffordshire University since October 1990.
Research interests: The politics of South Asia, particularly India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Politics of international migration and refugee movements. Security Studies, particularly migration and security, and the 'War on Terror' and it impact. Publications include articles on Indian politics and various aspects of international migration.
