- The Department for
Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA)

The DWI's main job is to check that the water companies in England and Wales
supply water that is safe to drink and meets the standards set out in the
Water Quality Regulations.

(International Water Services Association). IWA aims o be the leading international

The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM)
is a multi-disciplinary professional and examining body for engineers, scientists
and other professionally qualified personnel engaged in water and environmental
management.

Water UK is the organisation which brings together the UK's water suppliers
at a national level. The organisation promotes all that's best about the
UK's water industry. Water UK also provide help, advice and expertise on
all aspects of the water and sewage business.
- British Waterways
British Waterways maintain canals and rivers for a wide range of leisure
and business uses. Their strategic plan has three major themes: operational
quality, heritage, environment & traditions and development of new and secure
funding.

and Hydrology
Four institutes have merged into CEH and the Institute of Hydrology has
become the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, Wallingford, specialising in
hydrology.
