Graduation 2007

The Graduation Ceremony for Forensic Science took place this year on Monday 16th July at Trentham Gardens. Congratulations to all of this years Graduates and we look forward to hearing about all your sucesses in the future! Below are a small selection of the photgraphs taken of our new graduates during and after the ceremony.

A number of organisations kindly sponsored prizes for outstanding achievement during the final year. This year the following student prizes were awarded:

  • The Scientifics plc Prize for Best Performance in Forensic Science was awarded to Miss Kirsty Rogers, Miss Rebecca Howe, Mr Warren Grigg, Mr Daniel Pacitti, Mr Phillip Morton, Miss Amy Carrigan, Miss Sarah Goff, and Miss Laura Galvin.
  • The Faculty Prize for Best Project in Forensic Science was jointly awarded to Miss Natalie Roebuck and Miss Charley Woodman.
  • The Faculty Prize for Best Performance in Forensic Science was jointly awarded to Mr Ben Morgan and Mr Warren Grigg..
  • The Royal Society of Chemistry Prize for Best Performance in Chemistry was jointly awarded to Miss Charley Woodman and Mr Ben Morgan..

Graduation 2006

The Graduation Ceremony for Forensic Science took place this year on Wednesday 5th July at Trentham Gardens. Below are a small selection of the photographs taken of our new graduates during and after the ceremony.

A number of organisations kindly sponsored prizes for outstanding achievement during the final year. This year the following student prizes were awarded:

  • The Scientifics plc Prize for Best Performance in Forensic Science was awarded to Miss Laura Poole.
  • The Thermo Corporation Prize for Best Project in Forensic Science was jointly awarded to Mr Edward Goucher, Miss Rebecca Polhill, Mrs Alison Coates and Miss Donna Brassington.
  • The Julie Thompson Performance Prize was awarded to Miss Neysa Archer.
  • The Royal Society of Chemistry Prize was awarded to Miss Elina Armas Sanchez.

Graduation 2005

The Graduation Ceremony for Forensic Science took place in 2005 on Tuesday 5th July at Trentham Gardens. Below are a selection of photographs taken of our new graduates after the ceremony.

A number of organisations sponsor prizes for outstanding student achievement during the final year. This year the following student prizes were presented:

  • The Scientifics Prize for the best overall performance was jointly awarded to Mr Iskandar Azaman and Miss Catherine Kneale.
  • The Thermo Electron Corporation and Summertime Publishing Forensic Science Award for the best independent research project was jointly awarded to Mr Iskandar Azaman, Miss Catherine Kneale, Miss Anika Ludwig and Miss Nicola Stone.
  • The Liverpool Law Society Award for performance was jointly awarded to Miss Nicola Hayter, Miss Alison Bateman, Miss Angela Howell and Miss Kirsty Legge.

A number of our graduates attended the Forensic Science Conference held at Lincoln University in July 2005. Our students each presented a poster detailing their research project and we are proud to say that Staffordshire University students were awarded the first place prize as well as the two runner-up prizes for the Student Poster Competition.

Graduation 2004

The Graduation Ceremony for Forensic Science took place in 2004 on 13th July at Trentham Gardens. Below are a selection of photographs taken of our graduates after the ceremony.

This years three student prizes were presented to:

  • The Scientifics Prize for the best overall performance was awarded to Miss Claire Gwinnett.
  • The Thermo-Nicolet Forensic Science Award for the best independent research project was jointly awarded to Miss Jennie Hawthorn and Miss Julie Crutchley.

Graduation 2003

The Graduation Ceremony for Forensic Science took place on 16th July 2003 at Trentham Gardens. Below are a selection of photographs taken of our graduates after the ceremony.

In 2003 seven student prizes were presented:

  • The Granada Television Prize for the best overall performance was jointly awarded to Miss Gemma Bagnall and Miss Jodie Stuart.
  • The Thermo-Nicolet Forensic Science Award for the best independent research project was jointly awarded to Miss Sarah Fieldhouse and Miss Leanne Kempson.
  • The Scientifics Prize for special achievement was awarded to Miss Linzi Arkus, Miss Jennifer Lines and Miss Stala Polyviou.
