The department is currently active in four principal areas of research:

• Collection, developing and enhancement of fingerprints
• Method development in drug and toxicological analysis
• Method development in DNA profiling
• Environmental forensics - approaches for identifying sources of oil pollution

PhD Studentships in Forensic Science
