Sponsored Prizes for Student Achievement

A number of organisations sponsor prizes for outstanding student achievement in the final year. This year three student prizes were presented at Awards Day, 13th July 2004, at Trentham Gardens:

  • The Scientifics Prize for the best overall performance was awarded to Miss Claire Gwinnett.
  • The Thermo-Nicolet Forensic Science Award for the best independent research project was jointly awarded to Miss Jennie Hawthorn and Mrs Julie Crutchley.

Last year seven student prizes were presented at Awards Day, 16th July 2003, at Trentham Gardens:

  • The Granada Television Prize for the best overall performance in was jointly awarded to Miss Gemma Bagnall and Miss Jodie Stuart.
  • The Thermo-Nicolet Forensic Science Award for the best independent research project was jointly awarded to Miss Leanne Kempson and Miss Sarah Fieldhouse.
  • The Scientifics Prize for special achievement was awarded to Miss Linzi Arkus, Miss Jennifer Lines and Mrs Stala Polyviou.
