This exciting new award has been developed at Staffordshire University to provide students with the information and knowledge base appropriate to career opportunities within the Police and other investigative agencies. The award in Policing and Criminal Investigation has been developed from our Forensic awards, with an emphasis on the practical application of Forensic Science to investigative and policing techniques. There are some modules in common with the Forensic programme and new modules are introduced. Modules from Criminology and Psychology are included in the curriculum for the award.

The course ensures maximum learning potential by utilising various learning/teaching methods, including simulated crime scenes, workshops, role play, and formative feedback sessions, as well as conventional lectures and tutorials.
Admission Requirements
We welcome applications from people with a wide variety of qualifications, skills and experience. Applicants are individually assessed, however; a typical 3 A level offer will be 240 points (based on the UCAS tariff).
