RESCO - Renewable Energy Supply Chain Opportunities
SBS has recently secured funding from Advantage West Midlands for a 3-year project designed to help SMEs enter the renewable energy technologies supply chain. With innovation as a core theme, the project will provide support activities ranging from networking with major manufacturers and electrical distribution partners (in the UK and abroad) through to academic support for product development.

Funding
SBS has access to funding streams which may be available to the client and will advise on the best options to ensure value for money.
Funding streams include Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, INDEX Vouchers, as well as advice on government and European funding calls.
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) are Government supported collaborations that enable businesses to access and utilise the academic knowledge, expertise and resources of UK universities.

Innovation Vouchers Scheme
The Innovation Vouchers Scheme (formerly INDEX Vouchers) awards small and medium sized businesses to in the region £3,000 to procure support from eligible West Midlands Universities.
The support can either be in business management or technical innovation, but must fall within one of the AWM’s specified priority business areas:
- Energy/Power
- Advanced Materials
- Health Technology/Healthcare
- Automotive/Transport/Transport Systems
- Creative Industries/Digital Media/Software
- Media and Communications Construction,
- Water and Environment
- Process Industries
- Aerospace
- Defence Manufacturing Electronics
