Environmental justice
IESR’s work on environmental justice, (which in recent years has attracted funding from the Environment Agency, the Scottish Executive, the Department for Communities and Local Government, and the European Commission) examines the relationships between environmental quality and social status.Work has focused especially on links between social deprivation and a range of indicators of environmental quality, including contaminated land, polluting industry, flood hazard and air quality.
