
Greening Opportunities SMART Action Plan
Student Involvement
Currently, for year 2011 – 12 the Faculty has recruited two students to help support the process and attainment of Green Impact recognition. This forms part of a geography module, Geography & Environment Research Placement module . They are working on two areas; energy use and behaviours within the Faculty staff and student body; and photocopying trends and attitudes towards the use of electronic distribution rather than printed versions. Stamp Recycling :
Postage stamps can be handed in at the main reception desk in Mellor - the staff have a collection box - we haven't collected enough to send off yet, but antcipate sending these to the RNIB.

Battery recycling information is available here.
The Green Group have placed posters up at every network printer.
The Green Group have placed 'STOP wasting energy' red stickers in most rooms of Mellor building.
Posters have been placed around the Faculty.
Waste :
The Faculty has volunteered to be a pilot for the new waste segregation project

Mark Jennings reported that a University working group has formed around this issue.
