    This is important information regarding the consequences of plagiarising. Section 2.10 gives a clear indication of what constitutes plagiarism in the eyes of the university. Section 4 covers procedures for dealing with academic dishonesty and section 6 gives an indication of the probable outcome if you are found guilty of plagiarism.

    It is not uncommon for students to plagiarise unintentionally, this site helps to determine what does and does not need to be referenced and the next page ‘Safe practices’ offers advice on how to ensure that you don’t plagiarise accidentally.

    A brief definition of plagiarism followed by useful examples of acceptable and unacceptable paraphrasing and some strategies for avoiding plagiarism.

    A great site with examples including the original source, the use of the material and an explanation of why it is good or bad to aid understanding of what actually constitutes plagiarism.
