About Me

Following a career in Sales Management and then having set up and ran my own business I returned to university as a mature student and undertook a HND in Business and Finance followed by a degree in economics. This has allowed me to draw on my industrial experience within my teaching. Prior to working at the university, I managed a large department within an FE college and worked closely with the HRM team to develop and manage a complement of over 30 staff and some 300 students.

I am active in teaching and lecturer in Management Skills, Leadership and Management, HRM and Enterprise.

I am leading for the university on an ERASMUS+ Project `Silver Workers`. The aim of the project is to support older workers remain or return to employment through setting up their own business.

Currently I am undertaking PHD research focusing on supply side labour market policies.
