My scholarly work is centred on understanding the causes, control and consequences of stress and emotion. Much of my work has been in sport, in particular exploring challenge and threat states in response to competition. Specifically, how individuals differ in the psycho-physiological responses to stressful situations and how these challenge and threat states relate to performance. Increasingly I am also involved in research exploring the role of the natural environment in well-being as part of the PHENOTYPE project in addition to projects aimed at reducing work stress.
You can follow updates on my research and consultancy work on @profmarcjones and on my blog.
Because of my faculty wide role I do not have any specific modules but I do contribute a range of lectures at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
